KZZN Littlefield TX 1490 verification

If CJYQ is frequently heard in Scandinavia, KZZN in Littlefield TX is not. I heard KZZN briefly with a clear station ID on October 17, 2004 (KONG10), while another stronger station on the frequency kept silent for a couple of seconds. In an e-mail this evening, Monte Spearman kindly confirmed my reception of KZZN. Thank you, Monte.

CJYQ St. John’s NL 930 verification

CJYQ was the first North American medium wave station that I ever heard. It was in the spring of 1983, and CJYQ was a very frequent guest in our loudspeakers at that time. I sent several reception reports, but I never saw a response from the station.

KCCV Overland Park KS 760 verification

And there arrived the second verification for today! While examining some of my SDR-IQ recordings from October 15, 2007 (KONG17) I realized that there was more than one English-speaking station on 760. This was right after midnight, UTC, and I couldn’t really think about any possible candidate for the second signal. WJR was there as usual, of course. OK, some minutes later there was a clear ID for KCCV, a station I hadn’t heard about, and which couldn’t be found in the KOJE list. I sent a report, and a few minutes ago I received a friendly e-mail from Eben Fowler, Director for broadcast operations at Bott Radio Network. He confirmed my reception of the station. My KS station no. 2. Thank you, Eben.
