A good day for verifications, it seems. I just received a nice e-mail from General Sales Manager Carol Anhorn at WDAY, where she confirmed my reception of the station. I heard WDAY on October 17, 2007 (KONG17).

Hi TJ,
You have a very impressive international log of DX!
My best DX was when I was a teenager in the 1970's. I heard a USSR station on either 550am or 600am.
I heard TWR 800am from Bonaire near South America fairly regularly.
Recently I heard WFSR ,24 watts at night, in Harlan Kentucky (on my car radio) which is about 100 miles away from me in lexington, KY.
My MW DX interests have rekindled since I have been hearing MW DX on my crystal radio. If you are not familiar with crystal radios, they use no batteries or electricity–the only power they get is from the tiny amount that is in the radio waves. Until recently, I have never heard MW stations beyond 30 miles on any of them—even more complex set built by myself and others who are more expert in the hobby.
Around Halloween this year I heard Louisville, KY which is about 75 miles away. Almost DX! Next I heard WGN Chicago 720am 300 miles! My first real AM DX on a crystal radio. Later in the night I heard WBBM 780am Chicago and 740am CFZM in Toronto, Canada almost 500 miles.
Since then I've heard WOWO indiana on night power, WJR in Detroit, WHAM in NY (over 500 miles).
My best is WDAY 970am that you heard in Norway! Fargo, ND is 874 miles from me and my best MW on a crystal set.
Good luck in the hobby, you are catching some amazing DX!
