"We are pleased to confirm your reception. Well done!" This nice message from J.R. Lewis, President/General Manager at KLAM, waited for me in my inbox when I opened my e-mail this morning.

KLAM is one of the more difficult to hear Alaskan stations, due both to its rather low power (250 Watts) and its frequency (1450 kHz). It has to fight the Russian "powerhouse" on 1449 to get heard. Well, it managed to get through for a short while on October 16, 2007 (KONG17), and was heard with a clear ID.
