Nice e-mail from Dorle Scholz, business manager at KBBI, arrived yesterday. In his e-mail, he confirms my reception of KBBI on October 22, 2006, during the KONG15 DXpedition. KBBI is one of these NPR stations that seems to give an ID only occasionally. I have heard the station a couple of times before, but this was the first time that I had the luck to be there just in time to pick up one of these quite rare IDs. Thanks to Bjarne Mjelde for helping with the address.

Yesterday I got the idea to send off a reminder to KTSN Elko NV. I heard the station during KONG13 in October 2005 and sent them a reception report in November that year. No response, and for some reason I really cannot explain I have never sent any follow-ups to them until now. Well, yesterday I finally did, and it worked! Nice e-mail from Jennifer Ford, General Manager at KTSN, confirmed my reception. According to her, it seems like all KONG13 participants had a recording running on 1340 kHz at the same time.

Both my post office box and my inbox have been extremely empty recently – except from the usual stuff – bills etcetera, as well as a little spam now and then in my inbox. Although even the spammers have been on vacation, it seems. May their vacation be long – if not to say eternal! ;-)
