I sent out a few reminders on Friday June 16, and the work
resulted in one immediate response. E-mail from General Manager
Les Tuttle at WNAX Yankton SD confirmed my October 16, 2005

with several IDs.

Two in one – Guam and Saipan verification

Yes, that’s true. A long and friendly letter arrived on Friday
June 16 from Leilani Dahilig, Station Manager at KTWG Agaña, Guam.
In her letter she verified my reception of that station, KTWG
Agaña Guam 801 on October 14, 2005, as well as my reception of
their sister station KCNM Garapan, Saipan 1080 on October 15.
KTWG has become fairly easy to hear up in northern-most
Scandinavia, but KCNM is still very difficult, due to North Korea
on the same frequency.
Along with the letter, I also received several CDs with various
radio dramas on them, which I am looking forward to get a chance
to listen to.

KNZZ Grand Junction CO 1100 verification

Some verifications still arrive through the “classic” postal
system. A letter arrived around the beginning of June, causing
yet another of the US states to change it’s status here to
“verified”. The letter was written by Jim TerLouw, General
Manager at KNZZ. He confirmed my October 18, 2005 reception, and
also told about the station and the area.

CFYK Yellowknife NT 1340 verification

It has been some time since I last wrote in this blog, so a few
updates are necessary.
Some days ago I received a most wanted letter from CFYK in
Yellowknife, NT. Marty Brown, Senior Communications Officer at
CBC North wrote to confirm my reception of the station on October
19, 2005. Along with the letter, where he also told about the
city of Yellowknife and it’s interesting history, he also sent
some information about the National Anthem of Canada. How could
he know that I am a collector of national anthems? :-)
And just to mention it; Northwest Territories are new to me. Then
it is only left to get Yukon Territory verified in some way.
